Today I woke up feeling a little down, a little sad. There is one thing that always lifts me up, focusing on gratitude. So I made a pot of tea and I took out my flower fairy journal and I wrote down things that I am grateful for, things I love, unnoticed miracles and everyday magic.
sunny days
lilacs
honeysuckles
walking in nature
and blue birds usually always make my list.
And you know after I focused on all these lovely things
I looked out the window and saw a pair of indigo buntings!
The most beautiful magical blue birds!
What are you grateful for today?
Has magic flown in your life today?

Why and How I Journal
I’ve been journaling for as long as I can remember. I journal for many reasons. I journal to hear my inner self. I journal to connect to my dreams and wishes. I journal to understand my issues and to explore things that hold me back in life. I journal to give a voice to all the annoying thoughts we all have. Writing down annoying thoughts will bring them out into the light where they can be seen and where they can begin to transform. When I want to explore those annoying thoughts, I like to use a big school type notebook, nothing pretty or fancy. I like to have a place where I can write and write, stream of consciousness writing and just purge.
But when I want to focus on joy, gratitude, and lovely things, I like to use my flower fairy journal. Fairies remind me to focus on all the happy, pretty things in life. And I will use this journal to write down only thoughts of beauty. It’s such a joy to have a journal filled with only delight. When I want to focus on my dreams, wishes and goals, I will use my dreamscape journal. This is my special journal filled with only future happiness. I created these journals for myself and to share my love of journals with you.

Star Gaze
Some nights all I want to do is stare at the sky.
And a little info about my journals:
They are 5"x8" so they are the perfect size to keep by your bedside and write down all your thoughts before sleep, and your dreams and morning ponderings when you wake up. They are also the perfect size to throw in your bag, purse or back pack to capture inspiration whenever it strikes or to just sketch a quick doodle. They have 120 blank unlined pages with my original watercolor art on the cover. Check out my sidebar for ordering info.

Flower Fairy
I am so excited to tell you about my new project. One of my favorite things is a new blank journal. Another one of my favorite things is sharing my creations with you. So I’ve created my own blank unlined journals with my original watercolors on the cover. My first journal has a flower fairy on the cover and 120 blank unlined pages. I am really happy with the way it turned out.
To celebrate I am giving one away as my gift to one of you! Just leave a comment at this post below. I’ll announce the winner on Friday October 22. I hope you are enjoying your creative journey. Isn’t it fun!
And if you want a Flower Fairy Journal now it is available on my sidebar.
Update: thanks for playing along everyone, the winner is Cheryl!
