A Flower Fairy in November

 

  It's a chilly Autumn day but my heart has thoughts of Springtime.

Here a flower fairy is tending to the newly arriving Spring seedlings.

Art every day month, day one!

  It's November 1 and that means it's art every day month!

This is the third year I'll be participating. The last two years were great.

The last two years I painting spontaneously day by day.

But my plan for this year is to paint 30 "enchanted beings".

I will of course paint fairies and mermaids.

But I also want to try something new.

I've been sketching interesting shapes lately,

shapes I've seen in unusual places such as;

 shadows, ceiling tiles, chipped paint on houses,

a loose strand of hair.

I plan on turning these shape sketches into creatures

and see what I come up with.

My first enchanted being is a sylvan, a woodland fairy.

The Summer of Color challenge has definitely opened my eyes to certain things about color. I realize that my color palette usually changes and flows with the seasons. I find it challenging to use the color red in Summer. Do your colors change with the seasons?
