Hi Everyone. Thanks for all your sweet comments the last time. I want to mention something. If you visit me and leave a comment and have a blog I always return the visit. I love seeing all your wonderful creations. But lately I haven't been able to leave comments on blogger blogs unless there is a name/url option. I have also been having email problems, so if you sent me an email in the last few weeks, I didn't get it. But the email problem is fixed now. So anyway if you haven't heard from me it doesn't mean I don't love you ;)

Feeding the creative well

I have been asked where I get my ideas for my dreamscape paintings. And the answer is, I don't know!

I paint intuitively and spontaneously. I do know that I need to feed the creative well in order to draw from the well. One thing I do to feed the well is to go on nature walks. Lately it's been too hot and humid around here to walk. But there have been a couple cooler days last week and I was able to nature walk again. I walked on a trail where I saw this beautiful meadow. And I felt my spirit fill up again. Are there things you do to feed your creativity?

Fern

Let me introduce you to Fern.

Fern is a fairy from "The Tea Fairies" series which I paint on tea bags.

Fern is playful, scholarly, kind and a wonderful guide through the woods at dusk.

The fairies are allies to those humans who love and protect mother earth and will help those in doing so. Many humans who love, protect and serve the earth find it difficult to live on this earth at this time. It is heartbreaking for those of us to see the destruction and disrespect of our Mother Earth. Many of us lose our joy and lose our enchantment. The fairies help to restore the joy and enchantment to those who’ve lost it. The fairies consider themselves benefairies, it's their little joke, a little play on the word benefactor ;) The fairies are very playful. They love to share their gifts and they love to remind humans of the delight in the world.

Daphne is playful, whimsical and a lover of owls.

Wisteria is royalty, elegant and a lover of blue birds.

And like all The Tea Fairies very magical.
