The last few years instead of New Year's resolutions,
I set intentions and picked a word for the year.
Sometimes I pick a word for each season in the year.
This year my word is:
magical!
Yes my intention is that 2012
will be a magical, beautiful, wild and joyful year.
Have you chosen a word for 2012?

Julie, this is gorgeous, so bright and cheerful, and yes, magical! Great work.

I would love to have a magical snowy New Year. I love your word and intention for the year. I have chosen the word Trust but I have not set an intention. I will have to do that.
Happy New Year, Julie. I know that it will be a magical, beautiful, wild, and joyful year. How exciting that sounds!

I have not chosen a word, but it sounds like a fabulous idea! I love your little winter scene. Reminds me a bit of Dr. Seuss... maybe the trees? truly magical ;)

A beautiful and magical work of art. I think it is good to set intentions as goals rather than trying to stick to resolutions...I am sure you will have no trouble with 'magical' , your work is truly magical anyway.
Love what you have done since I found you in November and I am really glad I found your blog:)
best wishes and have a nagical New Year!

I love this painting...it captures the beauty of winter without being Christmassy, which is hard to do! It's lovely and the red really draws the eye...love your word for the year. I don't have any words or resolutions so far.. One thing I do want to do is try and keep my art 'mine' and not try to meet other's expectations of what it should be like.
Happy New Year!
