I've been in a mixed media mood lately.
I created this piece with lots of layers.
First I painted some abstract paintings,
then cut them in strips and bits and pieces
and made a layer of them.
Then I painted a layer of gouache on top.
Then added a little molding paste.
I made several layers like this.
The final layer was the Sea Goddess.
She said she would rather be called a Sea Goddess than a mermaid.
I don't argue with my paint characters!
I also made my previous piece The Edge of a Dream
the same way with the same layering technique.
I've added prints of both pieces to my Gallery
Thanks for visiting!

I just love the watery effects you are able to get with your paint and modeling paste. It always looks to cool and tranquil.

Oh yes, absolutely a Sea Goddess! I love how you've achieved a splashing water effect. is that three-dimensional or is it achieved using salt?
Happy Labor Day. Happy week!
