She loves daydreaming,
the sun, brushing her hair
and searching for pearls . . .
The daydreamers of the world
have never been cherished the way they should.
The daydreamers are called unrealistic,
living in a fantasy world, impractical, silly.
But the daydreamers are the ones
who are dreaming a beautiful world into existence.
So if you are a daydreamer, be proud.
The world needs you.

She loves her mermaid life . . .
do you love your life?
This little water nymph, nature spirit loves Mother Earth so much
that her heart radiates from the inside of her to the outside of her.
She is very shy and is afraid of most of the human folk.
She spends her time strolling in the woods and forests
swimming in streams, lakes and waterfalls.
There she cares for the water, tree, flower, plant and animal kingdoms.
The next time you are walking in nature,
tread softly you never know who might be hiding and watching you.
Believe it or not sometimes I take life too seriously.
I guess that's why my art is so important to me.
It brings me to a place that is carefree and light.
I've been having a lot of fun with my altered book
that I started here.
Meet Claudette.
Claudette likes to drink lots of coffee and stay up late.
She also likes others to know what's real about her and what isn't!
I've been in a mixed media mood lately.
I created this piece with lots of layers.
First I painted some abstract paintings,
then cut them in strips and bits and pieces
and made a layer of them.
Then I painted a layer of gouache on top.
Then added a little molding paste.
I made several layers like this.
The final layer was the Sea Goddess.
She said she would rather be called a Sea Goddess than a mermaid.
I don't argue with my paint characters!
I also made my previous piece The Edge of a Dream
the same way with the same layering technique.
