Let me introduce you to Trillium. Trillium is a fairy from “The Tea Fairies” series which I lovingly painted on teabags. Trillium's mission is to remind humans to make time to enjoy nature and to make time for magic.
For many years of my life I was in anguish over the state of the world and still am. But the fairies have reminded me that the consciousness of humans has risen. There are many caring and compassionate people now who are doing things in small ways and in large ways to help make the world a better place. They remind me to look at positive changes taking place. They also remind me that what may seem to be very negative is simply what was always there but is now being revealed and shown truthfully.
This is a dragon from my dragon series. I'm usually working on several series at once. I have fallen in love with dragons over the past few years. I think dragons have gotten a bad reputation and are misunderstood because all the dragons I have met have been gentle, kind and protective. ;)
When the presence, spirit and energy of a fox enters your life, she will offer to be your guide.
She will guide you back to your own mystery, your joy, your playfulness, your cleverness, cunning and passion.
Have a beautifully magical day!
Life is a mirror reflecting the soul.
Hi Everyone. Thanks for all your sweet comments the last time. I want to mention something. If you visit me and leave a comment and have a blog I always return the visit. I love seeing all your wonderful creations. But lately I haven't been able to leave comments on blogger blogs unless there is a name/url option. I have also been having email problems, so if you sent me an email in the last few weeks, I didn't get it. But the email problem is fixed now. So anyway if you haven't heard from me it doesn't mean I don't love you ;)
I have been asked where I get my ideas for my dreamscape paintings. And the answer is, I don't know!
I paint intuitively and spontaneously. I do know that I need to feed the creative well in order to draw from the well. One thing I do to feed the well is to go on nature walks. Lately it's been too hot and humid around here to walk. But there have been a couple cooler days last week and I was able to nature walk again. I walked on a trail where I saw this beautiful meadow. And I felt my spirit fill up again. Are there things you do to feed your creativity?
Let me introduce you to Fern.
Fern is a fairy from "The Tea Fairies" series which I paint on tea bags.
Fern is playful, scholarly, kind and a wonderful guide through the woods at dusk.
The fairies are allies to those humans who love and protect mother earth and will help those in doing so. Many humans who love, protect and serve the earth find it difficult to live on this earth at this time. It is heartbreaking for those of us to see the destruction and disrespect of our Mother Earth. Many of us lose our joy and lose our enchantment. The fairies help to restore the joy and enchantment to those who’ve lost it. The fairies consider themselves benefairies, it's their little joke, a little play on the word benefactor ;) The fairies are very playful. They love to share their gifts and they love to remind humans of the delight in the world.
Let me introduce you to two more fairies from
"The Tea Fairies" Series, painted on tea bags.
Daphne is playful, whimsical and a lover of owls.
Wisteria is royalty, elegant and a lover of blue birds.
And like all The Tea Fairies very magical.
Next time I'll continue on with
what I learned from the fairies.
Magic and Love,
Let me introduce you to “The Tea Fairies”
The first fairy I'd like to introduce you to is Azura.
Azura is a confident, powerful and strong fairy. I painted her with eco friendly paint on a tea bag which I then attached to a book page.
The fairies came to me, we needed each other. We are family just as many other humans are. Several years ago when I felt I lost my spirit and my joy they began to tap me on the shoulder. They communicated with me through my feelings, my knowing, my inner and second sight and my art. In 2013 I met a group of fairies. I learned about them, envisioned them and began to translate them through my art. I call this group of fairies “The Tea Fairies” I called them this because as soon as I saw them I knew they needed to be painted on teabags, in keeping with their charming and tiny nature.
I learned that The Tea Fairies are quirky, and have their own unique beauty. I learned that they love being fancifully adorned and they love themselves even with their quirks. They have a strong sense of self love. This is something they hope to teach humans. They radiate pure delight to those who need it.
I have a wish that one day all animals will be treated with kindness, love and compassion. I long for a day when all animals will be seen as the special individual beings that they are. I know they want to live a happy peaceful life just as much as I do. And this is what inspired this painting.
A sweet pig sleeps. He dreams he is floating in a beautiful meadow, in peace, completely safe and finally free.
“Gratitude” is a dreamscape of an angel fairy in a vivid meadow. As I painted this I was reminded that there is so much in life to be grateful for. The sun, flowers and every blade of grass is a reason for gratitude. And gratitude transforms everything into beauty.
This is what I learned from the nature beings. They once lived on the land but were slowly driven away by the actions of humans over a long time. The spraying of poisonous chemicals drove the last of the nature beings away. I learned that I have always been connected to the nature beings. I've always loved the forest. I've always loved the ocean. And I'd call myself a mermaid. Mermaids are the fairies of the Ocean. There are many types of nature beings. What most people call fairies are just one type of nature being. We usually think of flower fairies when we say “fairy”. I began to communicate with a particular group of nature beings.

Today I gathered beautiful purple and red tomatoes,
lemon cucumbers and purple pole beans from the
There was more than enough for me to enjoy,
to share and to give away.
To me this is true abundance.
I have been working on a new painting
for my dragon series
and just finished it.
It's of a baby dragon.
I am truly grateful for days like this.
Love and Magic,
Spending some time at dusk,
journaling in the garden.
Dragon and Wizard Gnome is part of my dragon series.

Magic and Love,
Dragons are real but they like to keep it a secret . . .
The Secret Dragon is part of a new series of dragon paintings that I recently started.
On April 22 I began to write about my experience with “The Fae” (the fairies and nature beings) for those interested I will now continue.
The nature beings were always around me. I felt them. At times I just called them energies. I always had a knowing that they were around. At times I would hear their laughter or a word from “nowhere” It wasn't until I moved that I realized these energies were fairies, dragons and nature beings. I moved into a house on a land that had been sprayed for years with pesticides and herbicides. Things felt dead and empty on the land. I didn't understand what I was feeling. It's always been hard to translate these feelings and to explain them to others. But the energy I was feeling was very dissonant to my own energy. In my previous home I felt a blending of harmonious energy. Here it was the opposite. But ironically it was here that the nature beings began to communicate with me. . .

A look back and a step forward
How it began . . .
I've been creating in one way or another my whole life. I began blogging in May of 2009. I began blogging to share my thoughts, art, poetry and a way to help me deal with the emotions I was feeling of homesickness. Blogging was pure joy. It still is but I have always only shared a glimpse of my world. For those who have followed along I'm sure you could read between the lines. I never came out and said, I commune with the realm of the nature beings but I'm sure you could have guessed. So I decided it's now time to come out of hiding a bit and share a little more. Yes there will always be people who think that people who commune with fairies are crazy but I also know that there are those who would like to learn more about the fairy kingdom. So from now on I will still be sharing my thoughts and art but I will also share what I know of the nature beings . . .
magic and love,
